Across continents and cultures and oceans and time zones, the needs of babies are the same. To be close. To feel safe. To be clean, fed and loved. And, as parents, we share the same instinct to meet these needs. This love connects us across borders, customs and traditions. And while parenting may look different around the world, the love behind it is universal.
Morning in Japan
)
Soft morning light spills across the room and little feet are kicking in a baby bouncer. In a kitchen in Japan, a family is sitting together, sharing the first meal of the day.
This kitchen might be in Japan, but the same ritual is unfolding everywhere: breakfasts shared, little hands reaching and parents loving their little ones through the simplest of gestures.
Midday in Sweden
)
Trees sway in the wind. A father walks with a determined stride, carrying his baby in a baby carrier. The air is crisp and a dog trots happily at the man’s side, nose to the ground. This time of year feels comforting, calming and familiar – much like what that little one feels, snug against her father’s chest.
This moment may be unfolding in Sweden, but the same scene is happening everywhere: parents carrying their baby close, walking through markets, city streets and seasons.
Afternoon in France
)
Candles flicker on a cake. Tiny faces glow with anticipation and little legs kick with excitement. A mother holds her baby’s hand and together they blow, watching as the candles go out in a puff of smoke. Cheers fill the room, the cake is cut, and frosting finds its way onto little cheeks and hands.
Just as this baby blows out candles in France, another child halfway across the world is sharing the same experience – that of being celebrated, loved and surrounded by family.
Bedtime in the US
)
The day draws to a close and in a dim room shadows are softened by a lamp. A parent leans over a baby crib, humming a lullaby, and gently lowers their baby onto the soft sheet. The child sighs and the world outside goes quiet.
This family is slowly settling to sleep. In another part of the world, the sun is just rising.
One Big Family
Babies are our world. From their very first moments, we are dedicated to keeping them safe, close and supported as they grow. This passion has carried us far. Today, we are present in more than 50 countries around the world – all thanks to families like yours.
Though families, traditions and customs may be different from place to place, the love we share for our children is universal. It’s this love that continues to inspire everything we do.
We’re honoured to be welcomed into so many homes, helping to make life with little ones just a little easier for parents everywhere.
